SUHE HAUS is a historic Art Deco building, originally constructed in 1931 as the former warehouse of the National Industrial Bank of China. After renovation and now under the operation of the boutique design firm Chris Shao Studio LLC, it has become a burgeoning art and design community nestled alongside Suzhou Creek in Shanghai.
As the first publication by the timber trader JIFANG WOOD INC. from Fujian since its rebranding, and coinciding with the launch of its furniture brand, JIFANG collaborated with INSDIM to present a solo exhibition at SUHE HAUS. The special event unveiled the new brand visual identity and its inaugural product line, the FU Collection. The rebranding and product design efforts were also supported by insdim design office.
The exhibition, titled "FU Armchair and Its First 6 Owners," was curated by INSDIM Communication Director, independent design journalist, and design author Qili Chen. Through interviews with the first six customers of the Fu Armchair, she sought to uncover the secret behind the FU Collection's rapid market success.
